A new study by the J. J. Keller Center for Market Insights highlights fleet managers’ trending concerns from 2021 – 2024, including keeping up with evolving regulations, ensuring driver compliance, and enhancing driver skills and knowledge.
The number of fleet managers struggling to manage drivers’ hours of service increased by 13% from 2023. Recruiting and retaining qualified drivers also remains a top concern, with a 12% jump in difficulty compared to last year. Adding to these challenges, there was a 9% increase in the number of managers who reported confusion over the rules and regulations set by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.
