The Commercial Transportation Consultant position is an outside sales position that is responsible for expanding our growing lease portfolio. They will focus on companies with a fleet of vehicles and achieve sales goals through various forms of marketing, networking, and sales presentations that define the value of fleet management to key decision makers. This person is responsible for influencing the buying decision, while exceeding the customer’s expectations for service, knowledge and professionalism. The Commercial Transportation Consultant will be knowledgeable of our complete menu of services including vehicle acquisition and disposal, maintenance & repair, licensing and cycling of fleet vehicles, and use of the company website to prepare fleet management reports and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis.

The Inside Sales Assistant is an entry level training position designed to last for a period of 6-12 months to allow the associate to develop the required skills and experience to advance to the second stage of the program towards becoming a Commercial Transportation Consultant.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support and assist the Sales Manager, Fleet Manager, and Title Manager in day-to-day tasks
  • Process renewals of registrations and toll violations
  • Manage data entry in fleet management or maintenance software. Ensure that all systems are up to date
  • Provide general administrative support: answering phones, managing schedules and calendars, handling correspondence, and organizing files
  • Perform other duties as necessary to support Fleet Services Group
  • Receive, sort, and distribute mail and FedEx packages
  • Answer, screen, and forward phone calls
  • Other clerical items as assigned

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive team member to support fleet operations, including vehicle registration renewals, insurance verification, recall monitoring, and toll management. This role is ideal for someone who is naturally curious, quick to learn, and adaptable to shifting priorities. The successful candidate will be comfortable working across multiple systems and collaborating with various teams, while bringing strong analytical skills, clear communication, and a commitment to delivering accurate, timely administrative support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and process vehicle registration renewals accurately and on time
  • Ensure all vehicles and equipment maintain appropriate insurance coverage, including managing initial certificates and renewals
  • Monitor vehicle recall notifications and coordinate required follow‑up actions
  • Review, track, and resolve toll violations in a timely manner
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records across internal systems and third‑party platforms
  • Communicate clearly with internal teams, vendors, and external partners to obtain or clarify required information
  • Identify discrepancies, trends, or opportunities for process improvement and escalate as needed
  • Support additional fleet administration or compliance‑related tasks as assigned

  • Prior experience in fleet operations, insurance verification, vehicle registration renewals, compliance, or administrative support
  • Familiarity with vehicle leasing, recalls, or toll management processes
  • Experience working in documentation-heavy environments

Work Environment & Schedule

  • Hourly position with a consistent schedule from 8 AM to 4:30 PM
  • Fully in-office role requiring regular, on-site attendance during scheduled work hours
